Fruity | Light | Juicy

Te to Te Hotaru no Yusuzumi is a low-alcohol sake from Naminooto Brewery in Shiga Prefecture, brewed by Mitsuya Nakai, the brewery’s 11th-generation brewer. The name means “fireflies in the evening cool,” and the sake is made for exactly that kind of warm night. Like every Te to Te release, it carries the brand’s idea of passing warmth and connection from the brewers’ hands to yours.

At 12% alcohol, it is lighter than most sake, with a soft sweetness closer to powdered sugar than syrup and a rounded, mellow texture. An easy first bottle for anyone new to sake, and a refreshing change of pace for regulars.

Tasting Notes:

  • Aroma: Soft, fruity aroma.
  • Flavor: Gentle sweetness with a light, juicy body and a mellow, rounded mouthfeel.
  • Best Served: Well chilled (5-10°C) in a small sake cup to enjoy its fruitiness and clean texture.
  • Pairings: Light starters, fresh fruit, and soft, creamy cheeses.
